Vermont Gov. Phil Scott used a trip to St. John’s to criticize U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach to Canada. At the annual meeting of the eastern Canadian premiers and New England governors, Scott said that Trump’s tariffs and his tone are doing damage on both sides of the border.
